An award winning, global consultancy are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to compliment their existing team based out of Brisbane. The organisation are highly regarded within the environmental consulting industry and this is a good opportunity for an engineer to take their next step in their career, and become a leader within their discipline. The role will focus on the mining and Oil & Gas industries working across a variety of projects. These projects will involve, but is not limited to, water balance modelling, water management studies, mine waste management, acid mine drainage, mine tailings management, developing and managing major environmental monitoring programs, and providing advice on policy and industry guidelines.
Due to the mixture of projects within the team applicants can hold a background from a variety of disciplines including geochemistry, hydrology, mine water planning or environmental management to the extractive industries.
The successful candidate will ideally hold previous consultancy experience in a similar role, although positions held within mine or oil & Gas operators will be considered, and a network of contacts within Queensland. In order to be considered it is essential to hold experience within a number of the areas outlined above, with a successful track record in project management and procurement, and experience of managing teams, budgets and project schedules.
